Science
The Science Department at St. Joseph High School is designed to prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century by developing critical thinking and processing skills. At the secondary level, students further develop their knowledge of the scientific method when conducting open-ended experiments in our fully equipped science labs. As their course level progresses they become more involved in experimental design. Following the NYS standards, formal instruction is enhanced with technology resources that are applied with Project Based Learning to further develop students’ inquiry skills. Elective courses are offered to students who seek to further their development of knowledge and skills towards a career in health professions.
